WE BELIEVE
Though our name has “Baptist” in the middle, sometimes the term can mean different things in different churches. Below are listed some important information about what we believe the scriptures teach.
SCRIPTURES The scriptures of the Bible are 66 books of both the Old and New Testament; and as originally written, were inspired by Spirit–controlled men and therefore infallible and without error. We believe the Bible to be the standard by which all human conduct, creed, and opinions are divinely judged.
GOD There is one and only one living and true God, an infinite Spirit, the Maker and supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
SALVATION The salvation of sinners is divinely initiated and wholly of grace of the Father, Who appointed Jesus to be born of a virgin, in human nature and lived a perfect life according to God’s Law making Him able to be a perfect sacrifice for our sins. By the shedding of His blood in His death, He fully satisfied the just demands of a holy and righteous God. His sacrifice consisted not in setting us an example by His death as a martyr, but was a voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner’s place, that having risen from the dead He is now enthroned in Heaven.
Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. Repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit and is an integral part of saving faith.
ETERNAL SECURITY All who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ.
ETERNAL PUNISHMENT As all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ; therefore, all others who continue in unbelief are considered wicked and remain under the curse of God and subject to everlasting conscious suffering in the Lake of Fire.
END TIMES The rapture of the church is an event that can occur at any moment, and that at that moment, the dead in Christ shall be raised in glorified bodies, and the living in Christ shall be given glorified bodies without tasting death; and all shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before the seven years of the Tribulation. The Tribulation, which follows the rapture of the church, will be culminated by the premillennial return of Christ in power and great glory where He will physically reign over the earth for a literal 1000 years; after which, God the Father will deliver the final judgement, and issue the new heavens and new earth into the eternal state.
